Bhubaneswar, March 29 -- In a major push to improve passenger safety and ease congestion during peak travel hours, Indian Railways has rolled out a comprehensive plan to upgrade crowd management infrastructure across 76 high-footfall stations in the country. The initiative focuses on creating a more controlled, technology-driven and passenger-friendly environment, especially during rush seasons when stations often witness overwhelming crowds.
At the core of the plan is the development of permanent holding areas outside platforms to regulate passenger flow.
