From Berhampur to South Africa: Odisha engineer's chalk miniature BRICS art wins global praise
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 12 -- A young engineer from Odisha's Berhampur received appreciation from the South African High Commission for creating miniature chalk sculptures of the leaders of the five BRICS nations and the 2026 BRICS logo.
K. Bijay Kumar Reddy from Dura village in Berhampur created miniature figures of the leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, along with the BRICS logo, using chalk.
The sculptures of the leaders are just one centimetre tall, while the BRICS logo measures only 5 millimetres.
Bijay said that he created the artwork to welcome delegates from across the world as India hosts the BRICS Summit this year.
