Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- Commissionerate Police have cracked the recent theft at the residence of a fish trader in the Infocity area of Bhubaneswar, arresting the accused and recovering the stolen valuables.

The accused, identified as K. Venkata Reddy, was arrested in connection with the theft of gold jewellery from the house of K. Rama Rao. The burglary took place on August 2, when gold ornaments were stolen from Rama Rao's residence.

During the investigation, police found that the accused was a friend of the complainant. Based on suspicion and subsequent evidence, investigators traced K. Venkata Reddy using a combination of intelligence inputs and crime scene footprint analysis.
