Bhubaneswar, June 5 -- A youth was critically injured after allegedly being stabbed by his friend following a dispute in Balianta on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Thursday. The incident has once again drawn attention to incidents of violent clashes being reported from the area.

The injured youth has been identified as Hadibandhu Pradhan. He sustained serious injuries after allegedly being stabbed in the abdomen during the altercation.

Hadibandhu was rescued from the spot in a profusely bleeding condition and rushed to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment. However, as his condition deteriorated, doctors referred him to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
