Fresh low-pressure system likely to trigger heavy rain across Odisha; IMD issues alerts for multiple districts
Bhubaneswar, July 12 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall across Odisha over the next few days as a low-pressure system is likely to develop over the region.
The Regional Meteorological Centre has warned that rainfall activity will intensify from Sunday, with several districts expected to receive heavy showers until July 15.
According to the weather office, a cyclonic circulation is likely to form over West Bengal, Jharkhand, and the adjoining north Bay of Bengal during the afternoon of July 13 and 14. The system is expected to gradually intensify into a low-pressure area, resulting in widespread rainfall across Odisha.
