Bhubaneswar, Sept. 29 -- A fox attacked 13 people after entering Tarakot village under Korei block in Jajpur district of Odisha on Monday night, leaving a child, eight women and four men injured.

The incident took place around 10 pm when the fox entered the village and first attacked a child. It later went on to bite 12 more people in the area.

All 13 injured people were taken to the Korei Community Health Centre with the help of local residents. They are currently undergoing treatment there.

After being informed about the attacks, a team from the Jajpur Road forest range reached Tarakot village and began efforts to trace and capture the fox. Forest officials also alerted villagers and advised them to remain cautious.
