Bhubaneswar, July 5 -- Continuous rainfall over the past four days has severely affected Odisha's Sonepur district, leaving several areas waterlogged and disrupting normal life.

Heavy rain have inundated roads and low-lying areas, creating difficulties for commuters and residents to even go nearby areas.

One of the worst-hit stretches is the Biramaharajpur-Amarpali road, where floodwater from the Ghunginala stream near Bhutiapali flowed nearly four feet above the bridge from Friday evening. As a result, vehicular movement on this key route remained completely cut off throughout the night.
