Bhubaneswar, July 12 -- Former BJD MLA Alaka Mohanty on Saturday met BJD president Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas to clarify the controversy triggered by a Facebook post made by her son, Purushottam Mohanty, over remarks related to late BJD leader Kishore Mohanty.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Alaka Mohanty said her son had made the post in an emotional state and later realised his mistake. She said he subsequently deleted the post after understanding the party's contributions and reiterated that there was no political dispute between her family and Jharsuguda MLA Dipali Das.
