Flood situation worsens in Odisha, over 5.93 lakh people affected across 18 districts
India, July 30 -- The ongoing flood situation in Odisha has affected a large number of people across several districts, with 18 districts reporting flood-related impacts, according to the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) report on Thursday.
A total of 95 blocks, 472 gram panchayats and 1,301 villages have been affected by the floods. Besides rural areas, 176 wards across 14 urban local bodies have also been impacted.
The SRC informed that more than 5.93 lakh people have been affected due to the flood situation in the state.
