Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4 -- Odisha Higher Education Department extended the Phase-I undergraduate admission schedule for the 2026-27 academic session following widespread flooding across several districts. The decision comes as severe waterlogging and travel disruptions have affected normal college operations and prevented many students from reaching their institutions.

Accoring to the Times Of India, the extended timeline applies to all plus-three degree courses across state public universities, government, aided, unaided, and law colleges operating under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
