Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- The first Jhamu Jatra of the Baisakha month was held today at Kakatpur in Odisha's Puri district, marking a significant event for the devotees of Maa Mangala. 

Adorned in her divine Rajarajeshwari Besha, the Goddess offered darshan to thousands of devotees gathered to seek her blessings.

Significance of the First Jhamu Jatra

The Jhamu Jatra is a deeply significant ritual for the followers of Maa Mangala, held on the first Tuesday of the Baisakha month, a tradition unique to Kakatpur. 

Unlike other Jhamu Jatras, which occur during Pana Sankranti, this event takes place on a different day, making it even more special for the devotees.
