Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- A fire broke out at a garage in Anand Vihar near Nakagate in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, in the early hours of Monday, gutting eight vehicles. The blaze reportedly started while an electric vehicle (EV) was being charged, with a short circuit suspected to have triggered the fire.

The vehicles inside the garage included one CNG car, five EVs and two petrol-powered vehicles. The flames quickly spread to the other vehicles, leaving them completely damaged.

After receiving information, the Tamando Fire Services team reached the spot within a short time and immediately began firefighting operations. The personnel focused on containing the flames and preventing them from spreading to nearby areas.
