Fire brigade rescues girl after iron grill pierces her hand in Puri, admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 31 -- A young girl sustained serious injuries after an iron grill rod pierced her hand while she was attempting to pluck flowers for Khudurukuni Osha in Odisha's Puri on Sunday. The incident took place in Jamuna village under Delang police station.
The girl, identified as Supriya, daughter of Swadhin Ray, had gone to collect flowers for the Khudurukuni Puja. As the gate was closed, she climbed the boundary wall to reach the flowers when the accident occurred.
Upon receiving the information, fire brigade personnel reached the spot. They rescued Supriya along with the assistance of the villagers. She was initially taken to Jatni Hospital for treatment.
