Fire breaks out in Rajdhani Express, several passengers evacuated
Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- A fire broke out in the B-1 coach of Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (1train number 1243) on Sunday. The incident occurred when the train was travelling between Luni Richha and Vikramgarh Alot stations in the Down direction, railway officials said.
According to the West Central Railway, the blaze was reported near the SLR end of the coach at kilometre point 729/02. Railway authorities acted swiftly after the incident came to notice and immediately evacuated all passengers from the affected coach. No injuries or casualties among passengers or railway staff were reported.
