Bhubaneswar, Oct. 17 -- Weather conditions are expected to remain favourable during Dussehra in Odisha, with no likelihood of rain on Vijayadashami. However, parts of southern and coastal Odisha may experience thunderstorms and rain until October 18 due to moisture accumulation in the atmosphere.

A trough extends from a cyclonic circulation over the southern coast of Tamil Nadu to the northwestern Bay of Bengal near the Odisha coast, influencing weather conditions in the state.

A yellow warning has been issued for five districts in southern Odisha for light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms on Saturday.
