Bhubaneswar, May 9 -- One person died and 15 others sustained injuries after a private passenger bus collided head-on with a truck in Odisha's Ganjam district on Saturday. The accident occurred under the jurisdiction of Kodala police station.

According to reports, the private passenger bus was travelling from Polsara to Puri carrying around 30 passengers when the accident took place near Bali Dhaba in Kodala town.

The impact of the collision was severe, completely damaging the front portions of both the bus and the truck. Following the accident, the truck driver got trapped inside the vehicle.

After receiving information, local residents alerted police and fire service personnel, who reached the spot and carried out a rescue operation....
