Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- Farmers staged a protest in Odisha's Sambalpur on Thursday, opposing the Agristack system and the requirement related to patta land records in the farmer registration process.

As part of their symbolic protest, the farmers locked the doors of a Cooperative Society, disrupting the ongoing registration process.

The protesting farmers have raised objections to the procedures being followed for farmer registration, demanding that the concerns related to Agristack and patta requirements be addressed.

Meanwhile, the state government has clarified that the patta system will not become a barrier to farmer registration. The government has also stated that patta-related details will not be linked to the issuance of tokens...
