Bhubaneswar, Feb. 28 -- A tragic incident in Rajnagar of Kendrapara district triggered public outrage after the wife of a deceased farmer fell at the feet of the Tehsildar, pleading for justice.
The deceased farmer, Trilochan Nayak of Junagadi village, had reportedly gone through severe mental distress while attempting to sell his paddy. His wife, Bharati Nayak, has alleged that her husband was harassed by a local miller and the secretary of the Dangamal cooperative society during the procurement process.
According to her complaint, repeated pressure and alleged misconduct by the officials pushed her husband into extreme distress, ultimately leading to his death.
