Bhubaneswar, May 29 -- Tension gripped Kuanraswara village near Satashankha under Pipili block in Puri district after a house was allegedly set on fire following a dispute between two families late Thursday night.

According to reports, the families had argued earlier in the day, which escalated into a violent incident by night. Sources said one family allegedly set fire to the house of the other over long-standing enmity and ongoing disputes in the locality.

The affected family was reportedly residing on government land near a temple. Their house, made of bamboo and covered with a large plastic sheet, had drawn repeated objections from locals, which had fueled past confrontations.
