Bhubaneswar, June 22 -- Golanthara Police on Sunday arrested the boyfriend of an engineering college student who allegedly committed suicide due to harassment and was found hanging in a hostel room near Berhampur.

The accused has been identified as Biswajit Jena. He is the nephew of Odisha Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena.

As per reports, the arrest followed a formal complaint lodged against Jena by the family of the deceased student. The deceased, Smruti Bhol was a final year BCA student at Gandhi Engineering College, who was found hanging in her hostel room on June 20.
