Eight detained as probe intensifies into Odisha man's alleged abduction, murder
Bhubaneswar, July 7 -- In the alleged murder of Abhimanyu Sahu from Daliamada village under Nayagarh Sadar police limits, cops swung into action after his body was recovered yesterday from Dahuka River near the village. Local police detained eight villagers on Tuesday and launched a detailed investigation.
The 25-year-old man was reportedly abducted, beaten to death, and his body dumped in the river over an alleged long-standing land dispute.
According to sources, due to previous enmity and a land dispute, Abhimanyu and his family had allegedly been socially boycotted by the villagers.
