Bhubaneswar, March 15 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced the schedule for the upcoming Assembly elections in Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala and the Union Territory of Puducherry, setting the stage for a major electoral exercise in the country. The elections will take place in April, while the counting of votes for all states and the Union Territory will be held on 4 May.
