EC starts door-to-door voter verification in Odisha; over 3.34 crore electors under review
Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- In a major exercise aimed at ensuring clean, accurate and inclusive electoral rolls, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched the Enumeration Phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Odisha, along with Mizoram, Sikkim and Manipur. The large-scale voter verification drive commenced on May 30 and will continue until June 28, during which election officials will conduct door-to-door visits to verify existing voters and facilitate the enrolment of new eligible electors.
