Bhubaneswar, April 19 -- In a major push to railway infrastructure along the eastern seaboard, the Government has approved a high-density rail corridor under the Howrah-Chennai network, placing Odisha at the centre of a transformative connectivity upgrade. The project, which will pass through key districts including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jakhapura, Haridaspur, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khorda and Berhampur, is expected to significantly ease congestion on one of the busiest rail routes in the country while strengthening both passenger and freight movement.
