Bhubaneswar, April 2 -- Ethanol-blended petrol has begun to be sold at petrol pumps across the country including in Odisha from Wednesday, following a mandate by the Central government. The move marks a shift in fuel supply, with E20 petrol now being dispensed for vehicles nationwide.

The fuel currently being supplied contains 80 per cent petrol and 20 per cent ethanol. The introduction of E20 petrol was made mandatory amid a severe fuel crisis, prompting its implementation across petrol pumps.
