Bhubaneswar, July 8 -- A security scare unfolded outside the OdishaLegislative Assembly late on Tuesday night after a car allegedly driven by an intoxicated driver rammed into a barricade installed in front of the Assembly premises. The impact completely damaged the barricade, while a major mishap was narrowly averted.

According to reports, the driver allegedly breached the security cordon before crashing the vehicle into the barricade outside the State Legislative Assembly.

Soon after receiving information, local police, along with the Special Tactical Group (STG) commando team, reached the spot. Security personnel immediately cordoned off the area and initiated a thorough inspection around the vehicle.
