Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- The Special Crime Unit conducted a surprise raid on Monday at various shops located near a private university in Bhubaneswar as part of an operation against the sale of drugs near educational institutions. The raids were carried out under the Infocity police station limits.

The raid was conducted as part of a routine check, and Commissionerate Police is set to conduct similar raids across the city near various educational institutions, senior officials said.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of the Additional DCP. The police carried out checks at shops in the vicinity of educational institutions as part of the special drive.
