Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- In a major boost to Odisha's industrial growth ambitions, the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA) chaired by the Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday approved 20 mega projects across nine districts, attracting a total investment of Rs 76,612 crore and promising to generate more than 50,500 employment opportunities.

The approved projects span a wide range of sectors, including gemstone production, green energy equipment, aerospace and defence, rare earth mineral-based value-added products, pharmaceuticals, engineering and electrical capital goods, chemicals, steel, iron and ferro alloys, and renewable energy.
