Bhubaneswar, March 26 -- An Air India flight enroute to London Heathrow from Delhi had to turn back to the national capital on Thursday afternoon after encountering a technical issue, just hours into its journey. The Airbus A350 aircraft had been airborne for almost seven hours before the decision was made to return to Delhi, raising concerns among passengers and the airline.
The flight, AI111, had taken off from Delhi around 6:00 am on Thursday, but after four hours of flight, a suspected technical issue forced the aircraft to divert. The issue was reportedly flagged after noises were heard from the aircraft.
