Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- A chilling autopsy report has exposed the extent of violence inflicted on a 22-year-old woman, daughter of an IRS officer, who was allegedly raped and murdered in Delhi. 

The findings indicate she endured severe physical assault and made desperate attempts to resist her attacker.

According to the post-mortem, the victim suffered multiple injuries caused by a blunt object, particularly on her face, including a fractured nasal bone. Bruises and abrasions on her arms, hands, and legs suggest she struggled to defend herself during the attack.

Medical examination also revealed internal bleeding in the neck muscles and fractures in parts of the thyroid cartilage.
