Bhubaneswar, June 15 -- Bhadrak residents are facing immense hardships as the long-pending Chandbali-Kandha road project continues to remain incomplete, turning a vital stretch into what locals describe as a death trap. The 5-kilometre road, connecting Chandbali Kali Temple to Kandha Stadium, has become a major concern for commuters due to its deteriorating condition and thick dust clouds.

The road project was launched in 2023 with an estimated budget of Rs 7.40 crore and was scheduled to be completed in 2024. However, despite the deadline having passed, the work remains unfinished, leaving residents frustrated and demanding immediate action.
