Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- A deep depression over the westcentral and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal is moving westwards towards the north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coast and is likely to cross the coast by Wednesday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in coastal and southern Odisha under its influence.

The system moved westwards at a speed of 7 kmph during the past six hours. At 11.30 pm IST on September 22, it lay centred over the same region, near latitude 18.0degN and longitude 85.0degE.
