Bhubaneswar, July 6 -- Rail connectivity in Odisha received a major boost on Monday with the inauguration of Berhampur-Udhna (Surat) Amrit Bharat Express daily service and the launch of the new Puri-Koraput Express.

The services were flagged off by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw during inauguration ceremonies held at Berhampur and Puri railway stations.

The Berhampur-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express, which had been operating three days a week, will now run daily, fulfilling a long-pending demand of passengers travelling between Odisha and Gujarat.
