Bhubaneswar, Oct. 26 -- Malkangiri district administration has stepped up preparations for the possible cyclone Arnab. Vulnerable areas have been identified, temporary shelters have also been arranged and emergency response teams were deployed. Pregnant women have also been identified and shifted to health facilities to ensure their safety.

Malkangiri Collector Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke said that the administration has completed key preparations and was keeping a close watch on areas likely to be affected. People in low-lying areas have been advised to move to temporary shelters if required.
