Bhubaneswar, July 11 -- A major cyber fraud racket reportedly having links to Odisha has been busted by the Giridih Cyber Police in Jharkhand on Saturday, where 5 accused have been arrested. The gang is suspected of duping customers of lakhs of rupees by circulating fake application files disguised as customer support tools, prompting a deeper investigation into its operations and interstate connections.

According to the Giridih Cyber Police, the five-member gang had links extending to Odisha. The accused allegedly targeted unsuspecting customers by sending fake files named Customer Support APK and WiFi APK. Victims who accessed the fraudulent links were allegedly cheated of lakhs of rupees.
