Bhubaneswar, March 17 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought a detailed report from Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg over the tragic fire at SCB Medical College and Hospital, even as multiple agencies intensify their probe into the incident.
The fire, which broke out late Sunday night in the trauma care ICU, claimed the lives of at least 12 patients, while several others continue to remain in critical condition. The incident has triggered serious concerns over safety mechanisms in one of Odisha's largest government hospitals.
