Bhubaneswar, Sept. 30 -- A patient undergoing treatment at the Mental Health Department of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack died on Wednesday, with his family alleging that he was assaulted by hospital security personnel and an attendant.

The deceased, a resident of Jajpur district, had reportedly been admitted to the hospital two days ago for treatment. Following his death, his family alleged that he had suffered multiple injuries and that there were marks of assault across his body.
