Bhubaneswar, Sept. 28 -- Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Monday filed a complaint against 11 people over the alleged sale of adulterated paneer in Cuttack after laboratory tests detected maida, starch powder and detergent in seized samples.

As per reports, the complaint was filed by the CMC Health Department at Madhupatna police station after the test reports of samples collected from 73 quintals of paneer seized in Cuttack were received. The people named in the complaint include some small-scale farmers and vendors.

The issue came to light after authorities seized around 70 quintals of cheese and paneer from 11 traders during an inspection. The dairy products were reportedly brought to Cuttack from Niali.
