Bhubaneswar, Oct. 17 -- With Durga Puja celebrations underway, Odisha Director General of Police Vinaytosh Mishra reviewed security arrangements in Cuttack on Friday. He reportedly visited several puja pandals and areas where clashes were reported last year.

The DGP inspected the arrangements at different pandals and spoke to local residents in areas that had witnessed disturbances during last year's celebrations. The review comes as the city prepares to manage large crowds during the festival.

The police have reportedly deployed 130 platoons of force, two companies of paramilitary personnel and more than 500 officers for Durga Puja in Cuttack. Home Guards have also been deployed to assist with security and crowd management.
