Bhubaneswar, April 6 -- A CRPF jawan was injured on Monday in an IED explosion during a search operation in the Saranda forest of Jharkhand, amid ongoing anti-Maoist operations in the region.
The blast occurred while security forces were conducting a combing operation in the forest area, which lies near the Sundargarh border in Odisha. The injured jawan was immediately airlifted to Ranchi for further treatment.
According to available information, the explosion took place during a routine search operation being carried out by security personnel in the Saranda forest. One CRPF jawan sustained injuries in the blast and was shifted to Ranchi through air evacuation for advanced medical care.
