Crocodile rescued from farmland in Odisha's Kendrapara, panic grips villagers
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 12 -- A six-foot-long crocodile was rescued after it got trapped in a fishing net in Rajnagar area of Kendrapada district in Odisha on Saturday.
According to reports, the crocodile was found in a field near Brahmanikohla village, where a fishing net had been laid to catch fish. The reptile became entangled in the net while moving through the field. After noticing the crocodile caught in the net, locals informed the Forest Department.
On getting the information about the incident, Forest department officials reached the spot to rescue the crocodile from the fishing net.
The rescue operation was carried out after the reptile was found trapped in the fishing gear placed in the field.
