Bhubaneswar, July 4 -- A double murder came to light in Odisha's Keonjhar district after the bodies of a missing couple were recovered from a well on Friday. The victims were allegedly murdered on suspicion of practising witchcraft. The incident reportedly happened in the Baliparbat village under the jurisdiction of the Daitari Police Station.

As per reports, police arrested five individuals in connection with the double murder case.

The deceased have been identified as Khageswar Soren and his wife, Tuni Soren. They were both residents of Baliparbat village. The couple was missing since June 27, which led to an investigation by the local police to trace them.
