Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- Commissionerate Police introduced shoulder flickering lights for traffic personnel as part of a new initiative to improve their safety and visibility while on duty. The system is aimed particularly at helping motorists identify traffic police personnel during night-time duty and improving traffic management on the roads.

The initiative uses smart technology to make traffic personnel more visible while they regulate traffic and assist people facing traffic-related problems. According to the Police Commissioner, the lighting system will also help improve the efficiency of traffic personnel during their duties.
