Bhubaneswar, Sept. 2 -- Schools in flood-affected areas in Odisha's Jajpur will remain closed on Wednesday in view of the prevailing flood situation.

A total of 71 schools in Dasarathpur and Binjharpur blocks have been covered under the closure order. The directive applies to both government and private schools in the identified flood-affected areas.

In view of the flood situation, Jajpur District Collector directed all government and private schools in the affected areas to remain closed.

The administration took the decision to ensure the safety of students amid concerns over movement and accessibility in the affected areas.
