Bhubaneswar, Feb. 23 -- The six-day police remand of arrested inmate Madhukant Rana in connection with the Choudwar Jail escape case ended on Monday. He was produced before a court and subsequently sent back to Choudwar Jail in Odisha's Cuttack.

Police officials stated that several crucial details were obtained during the remand period, and further investigation into the case is ongoing.

According to police sources, Madhukant disclosed important information during custodial interrogation. He reportedly explained step by step how he managed to escape from the jail and how the alleged conspiracy was planned. Investigators gathered multiple inputs during the six-day questioning.
