Bhubaneswar, June 13 -- A truck driver had a narrow escape after his vehicle caught fire following a tyre burst on National Highway-55 near Adala under Kanas police limits in Puri district on Saturday.

According to reports, the chips-laden truck lost control, broke through roadside barricades, and fell off the road before the fire broke out. The incident quickly escalated when the rear tyre of the vehicle burst, triggering a rapid spread of flames throughout the loaded truck.

Sensing the danger, the driver managed to jump out of the vehicle in time, escaping without any injury.
