Bhubaneswar, April 29 -- A seven-month-long investigation has led to the successful rescue of an infant boy who was allegedly sold shortly after birth in Odisha. The child, originally from Koida in Sundargarh district, was traced and recovered from Bargarh by the authorities after a thorough investigation.
The Bargarh Child Welfare Committee initiated the rescue operation and promptly informed their counterparts in Sundargarh. On Tuesday, a team from the Sundargarh district headquarters arrived in Bargarh to complete the necessary legal formalities, including filing a police complaint, before returning the child to his rightful home.
