Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- Stolen gold and silver ornaments worth around Rs 50 lakh were recovered on Sunday from Odisha's Ganjam after Aska Police seized the valuables allegedly stolen from a jewellery shop in Chhattisgarh. The recovery was made during an investigation based on information shared by Chhattisgarh Police.

The seized valuables include around 300 grams of gold ornaments and 1 kilogram 400 grams of silver ornaments. The ornaments were recovered from a settlement under the Sorada police station limits during the investigation.

According to reports, four persons allegedly stole the ornaments from a jewellery shop in Chhattisgarh's Sitapur area in July.
