Centre closely monitoring Ebola situation after Africa outbreaks; no confirmed case in India yet
Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- The Government of India has said it is closely monitoring the evolving Ebola virus disease situation following recent outbreaks reported in parts of Africa, while clarifying that no confirmed case of Ebola has been detected in the country so far.
The statement comes amid heightened global health surveillance over the deadly viral disease, which has historically triggered serious outbreaks in several African nations.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, precautionary monitoring measures have been intensified in coordination with state authorities and health agencies.
