Bhubaneswar, Feb. 27 -- In a major push to India's clean energy ambitions, the Centre has given the green light for the construction of a dedicated green hydrogen and ammonia handling jetty at Paradip Port in Odisha. The project, cleared by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs 797.17 crore and is expected to significantly strengthen India's green energy logistics network.

The upcoming facility will be built and operated by the Paradip Port Authority under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. Designed with a capacity to handle 4 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), the terminal is set to emerge as a key infrastructure node under the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
